Hi. I’m Caitríona.
I’m a UX Writer and Content Designer.

It wasn’t always this way.
Once upon a time I was a teacher. I started teaching English to adults in Dublin, adults from all over the world. This gave me an eye opening perspective into viewing the world from different points of view. There is always another way.
I realised I loved teaching for exactly this reason. There’s always another way to explain something to make it clearer. If it doesn’t work the first time, try and try again.
I moved from Dublin to Barcelona and started working many different teaching jobs, with students from 2-70 years old, teaching everything from Art to Business, but again, every lesson had the same thing in common. Solving the problem of how to ensure the students understood and could retain the information given.
After ten years of teaching in many different capacities, I slowly but surely made my way to the world of UX Writing. What surprised me the most, and what continues to surprise me, are the similarities between the two worlds.
Change is good.
I really enjoy learning new things and am constantly on the lookout for my next project. Weaving, glass blowing, gardening, baking, if I haven’t tried it before I’m willing to give it a go.
Things don’t always work out the first time and I’ve learned that instead of becoming frustrated, take another look. And then another. And eventually I’ll get there.
The process is what intrigues me. How? Why? If I do this what happens? Since I was a child, questioning the world is what keeps me going.
My career path has coincided with this curiosity. It’s always been a helpful trait to move things forward.
This curiosity combined with a natural empathy for others has got me where I am today – always striving to ensure others understand and feel comfortable with what I’m trying to communicate.
I love to talk.
The more I talk to people, the more I learn and the happier I become. Get in touch if you’d like to work with me, are a career switcher looking to compare notes, would like more information about what I do or want to know where to get the best ice-cream in Vilanova i la Geltrú!
